It is absolutely true that Valentines Day can be a bit loaded. Past hurts, current pressures, it can certainly bring up a lot.
The unfulfilled desires, the challenges of navigating not just your own tender heart, but also another’s, the yearning, the ick, the dance. Love is a complicated and painful game, but let me remind you that it is also:
A joy
A dream
The best drug on the market
The spice of life
What heals us
As a Libra, it is my job to remind us all of how important love is, and how much we all truly need each other.
Times are fucked up out here, and it’s never been more true that what the world needs now is love, sweet love.
So if consumerism, high visibility declarations of love, or plastic covered heart shaped boxes that will end up in a landfill make you cringe, might I offer you some different rituals to celebrate this holiday?
For singles:
The Love Lens session: This session is just for you to learn more about yourself. Together we will take a deep dive into your heart and romantic dynamics. We will go over:
What your chart says about your needs in relationships
What things may get in the way
Cycles you may find yourself in and how to get out of them
And wherever else the conversation about your heart takes us.
The benefits of this session are that sometimes we can’t see the pattern we are in, or how we are getting in our own way, or how we can possibly learn to open ourselves up again. This session seek to explore all those things and leave you with inspiration and actionable tools to find new ways to hear and nurture your tender heart.
For couples:
Synastry session: This session is for you and your hunnie. Together we will take a peek under the hood of your relationship. We will go over:
Both of your charts individually
The synastry of how they interact together
The composite chart of your relationship
The benefits of this session are you can learn about all the way you naturally flow seamlessly, and also get a blue print for ways in which you may metaphorically miss each other, and will leave you with actionable tools to navigate those very moments.
For anyone:
A love ritual.
What you’ll need:
Salt
A bathtub
Milk of choice
Honey/sugar/maple syrup
An album or playlist of your favorite lover archetypes
Paper and Pen
Your imagination
Optional additions:
Rose petals or oils
Rose incense papers
Crystal friends (rose quartz, clear quartz, moonstone, or others)
Red or Pink candle
Best performed on a Monday night, or Friday before sunset.
Instructions:
Mix up some salt water in a bowl and take it into the bathroom. Dip your hands into the salt water and raise your hands to the top of your head. State to the universe (aloud, or in your head) that with the intention of this salt water is to draw out any stuck energy blocking your heart. Run your hands from the top of your head down your body (touching, or hovering) clearing your entire auric field. Dip your hands back in the salt water whenever you feel they need a refresh.
After you are done, pour the remaining salt water down the drain, and begin to draw your bath.
As the bath is filling, light your candle, incense, and set up your crystals if you are using them, and turn on your lover archetype album or playlist.
As the bath is filling, grab your milk and honey. State to the universe (aloud, or in your head) that the intention of the milk is to sooth over any past hurts, and pour the milk into the bath. Next grab the honey and stage to the universe that the intention of the honey is to bathe and reconnect you to the sweetness that makes you feel most alive. Pour the honey into the bath. You may also put some on your finger tip and draw symbols of love (like hearts, the Venus symbol, etc) on yourself, or in the water.
Once the bath is full, get on in there, baby!
While in the bath, you may wish to leave your playlist on, or switch to a guided heart opening meditation, a heart chakra sound bath, or a 528 hz Binaural beats playlist.
Once you are ready to get out, drain the bath and thank your helpers for the cleansing and clearing. After you’re wrapped up in your towel, pull out your journal and list 3-10 people, places, animals, or things that make you feel love, and how each one makes you feel. As you write your list, really let yourself feel how much you love that thing and why, and hold that feeling of love in your body for a moment before you move on the the next one.
When you are finished with your journal, you can pull the paper out and sleep with it under your pillow for the night, or call/text anyone on the list to further amplify and magnify that love out into the world.
And there you have it!
I hope you have a wonderful Valentines day that is absolutely filled to the brim with love, regardless of your relationship status.
So mote it be.
