Salt is one of the most powerful tools a witch can have in their bag of tricks- the teeny tiny crystals pack a pretty big punch when it comes to clearing energy and drawing boundaries. Remember how well it worked in Hocus Pocus? At least they got one thing (mostly) right.
Black Salt is especially powerful for drawing out energy, as it’s created by the mixing of salt and charcoal (either organically via volcanic activity, or mixed up by hand). The dark color is perfect for cloaking during private rituals.
Pink Salt has similar energetic properties to sugar- it can add a little love to the mix and help with attraction and manifestation.
Here are some easy spell ideas that only require a pinch of salt:
-To cleanse energy from your home, sprinkle on hard floors then sweep it up
-To protect your space, sprinkle across thresholds like doorways and windows
-To cleanse yourself of other people's energy, add a handful to your bath or foot soak
-To cleanse your crystals, fill a bowl with salt and bury the crystals in it. Leave overnight during a Full or Waning Moon.
