Maria Molteni is one of our favorite artists, and a close bud of the shop! In 2020 we hosted Maria's show Which House/HausWitch on our Local Artist's Wall, which offered a beautiful backdrop for passerby while most of downtown was closed to the public.
This weekend we're hosting a celebration of Maria's new deck Counting to Infinity * Stelle Scopa, a passion project fueled by ancestral devotion and celestial inspiration. But who's the witch behind the magic paintbrush? Read on to find out more about Strega Maria!

Violet/Purple since birth, but the rest are the children I love equally
Do you have a lucky number?
7! I painted the first “canvas” painting of my life on my 7th birthday. It was of a giant letter 7 with 7 stars around it and the word “seven” painted twice. All of the 7’s in my Stelle Scopa deck have colored foil fingers.
As a beekeeper/ beewitch, I also love a hexagon
Where's your favorite place to get takeout?
I guess wherever has Pho since I can use the containers for mixing paint in ; )
What's the best show/movie you've seen recently?
Show: The Law According to Lidia Pöet - about (the first?) 19th century woman lawyer in Torino, IT.
