It’s almost Vday- let’s talk heart energy!
The colors usually associated with heart energy are green and pink- green if you follow the chakra system of energy centers, and pink if you're standing in the Valentine's Day aisle. But here at HausWitch we have the extreme honor of getting to see a whole spectrum of heart energy every day in aura photos, and it doesn’t always obey the laws of color theory. Hearts feel all kinds of things, from excitement to anxiety, so let’s hear from our Personal Rainbow photographer Kalyn Anderson about what it all means!
What is heart energy?
In an aura photo, heart energy appears as a splotch of color right in the center of the chest. It's not present in EVERY photo, and can sometimes be mistaken for throat energy (neck/collarbone area) or solar plexus energy (diaphragm area). The presence of heart energy means that energy center is working hard, and the color can tell us what exactly that work is!
Blue Heart

Blue is the color associated with communication and honesty. Kalyn says, "I like to say we’re speaking from (or encouraged to be speaking from) the heart/expressing the 'truth' of the heart with blue there."
Green Heart
Green is a classic heart color, so seeing it actually show up over the heart is a double whammy. According to Kalyn, "Green means growth, devotion, and letting the heart lead what we’re building!"
White Heart
In an aura photo (and in science), white indicates the presence of ALL possible color energies, so when it shows up over the heart that means you've got a LOT of vibes concentrated there. In Kalyn's experience a white heart is "a wide open heart space. That can feel really amazing, or also like grief/heartache. Everything all at once."
Orange/Red Heart
Even if you aren't an aura photographer or color theorist, you probably already associate red with fire, urgency, and action. Kalyn recognizes red as “the heart of the fighter, moving with lots of passion, drive, intensity—red can be some strong boundaries too!"
