Here at HausWitch we are in full-on October prep mode. Each year hundreds of thousands of people flock to Witch City for our annual “Haunted Happenings” festival and some Salem businesses make a majority of their yearly revenue in that one month. My mission has always been to try to strike a balance between the necessary tourist-baiting and staying true to the year-round vibe of the store by carrying tasteful souvenirs made by local artists, and items that truly honor Salem as a charming New England town that happens to celebrate the figure of the Witch. (AKA the best place on earth).
So this year, I have some super special projects and events in the works for October and I want to know, WHAT DOES SALEM MEAN TO YOU? This is a call for submissions from people who have been here, are planning to visit, or are just admirers from afar. You can send something you’ve written, drawn, painted, photographed, or WHATEVER.
