I'm calling for a few reasons. I’d like to ask Rep. Seth Moulton to support H.R.Res 53 in the House, which would remove the 1982 deadline to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. Now is the time to establish strong legal protections in our Constitution against sex-based discrimination.
I’m also calling to ask him to set partisan issues aside to pass a robust Hurricane Harvey disaster relief fund and oppose any spending on a US-Mexico border wall. It would be unconscionable to prioritize funding for an unnecessary construction project over hurricane relief aid for thousands of Americans.
Finally, I'm calling to urge Rep. Seth Moulton to take immediate action and pass H.R. 3591, the American Hope Act. Our DREAMers deserve legal status and a path to citizenship, and I expect him to act swiftly to help the 800,000 people who relied on DACA for access to jobs, education, and security.
