October is here, and it’s a big one!! This month is bookended by Full Moons, making it a powerful portal for visioning new worlds, creating huge shifts, and watching mysteries unfold. With the election right around the corner, we need to use this Full Moon magic to its full potential to create radical transformation, close old portals, and open new ones. This is known as a “liminal” time and we are, indeed, at the threshold. We are deep in the void…can you see the magic you are being asked to work? Finding wisdom in the void requires courage, strength, stamina, and a hell-of-a-lot of grounding. For this reason (and because OCTOBER), this will be an all-black-everything edition of crystalscopes. When it comes to color magic, black stones are often associated with grounding, purification, strength, and protection…all things I anticipate we’ll need plenty of this month (and in the months to come). I also find that dark or black stones are often helpful in navigating liminal or “void”-like spaces.

 I have used tarot + oracle cards to take a peek at the dominant energies at work for each sign this month and recommended crystals accordingly. This month you’re experiencing transformation around personal power. It’s time to start taking yourself more seriously, Libra! This isn’t necessarily about toning down your playful attitude, but it IS about recognizing that you are a person of worth, skill, and power. You have wisdom. You have drive. Now actually own that and direct it in a meaningful way. Get serious about creating the kind of life and world you really crave. You’ve undergone an initiation into heart-opening this year, Scorpio. This month,

that initiation is more-or-less complete and now it’s time to begin you’re life as “the initiated”. Yes, that means putting what you’ve uncovered conceptually about opening your heart into practical action. This is going to require a whole new level of vulnerability for you, but that’s the point. It’s going to be important that much of this practice happens in relationship to other people, whatever that relationship may be. What’s important is that the softening is no longer a solo practice. This month’s transformation is all about abundance for you, Capricorn. It’s time to

Very real scarcity exists in this world (thanks in large part to oppression), but we all have ways that we conjure up scarcity where there is actually abundance in our own lives: by not trusting others enough to ask for help, by not believing in ourselves enough to try the thing, by not accepting the sweetness shown to us by others…the list goes on. You’ve experienced profound healing and guidance along the way this year. Some kinds of healing feel sparkly and shiny: bubble baths, face masks, miraculous solutions, reassuring synchronicities show up everywhere, maybe you meet a friend/partner/associate who totally turns things around…but there’s also “ugly” healing.
