I have been trying to come up with some analogies recently for exactly what this astrological cycle feels like, and this poem keeps popping into my mind, particularly the concept of the "the still point of the turning world." We have Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto ALL in retrograde. And today, on this new Moon we have four planets in Taurus. What do retrograde planets communicate to us? Stop, slow down, it's time to listen and learn. But with so many in retrograde, even though there is a pull to slow down, many of us have noticed an increase or speeding up on what is coming into our reality. And the words "coming into," are key here. Right now, it is as if the planets are helping us become like magnets, particularly if you have done any work of emptying out things that no longer serve you.
Maybe you have emptied your consciousness of beliefs that no longer serve you, or maybe you have just emptied out your closets. This transit feels particularly supportive if you, in your personal being have created space for the new to come in. If you haven't yet, now is the time.
Have you ever heard the phrase: "The Universe abhors a vacuum?" Basically this means, if you empty out anything in your life, the Universe rushes to fill it up. Well what if the universe itself becomes like a vacuum? With all these planets in retrograde it is almost as if the whole script has flipped, and has begun to become like the vacuum itself. It is as though it is now moving in the opposite direction, and we are riding this incredible wave of magnetism. We are the mirrors of the Planets after all. The more still we can be within, the more we can reach our true center, we will find our personal magnetism growing by leaps and bounds. With the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Taurus (and the Moon tonight for a couple more days), it is as if we have this grand opportunity to simply BE, and in the being we find all the magic, the dance , the freedom, and the release from suffering that we desire, just as TS Eliot's poem states. It is as if we are finding our inner Buddha natures. And in that state of being, all that we have been striving for simply comes to us as we walk through the world.
Yesterday, I found myself receiving a type of energy work called Zero Balancing, which is this amazing work that supports the very structure and foundation of your body, your bones, to come into their natural harmony . The idea is that the other electrical and magnetic fields will then also re-balance as your bones come into proper relationship. I felt incredibly centered, and loved the idea that right now feels like a "zero point balancing" a place where everything comes back to it's center, and restarts anew.
During this next month as we deal with this fixed energy in Taurus, find a place within your body to rest. Taurus is fixed earth energy, like the bones of our body. Find a place to go within and touch your center. In this center you will find, particularly in this astrological cycle, that you were much stronger than you thought you were. You will find the things that used to shake you don't anymore. The dragons you thought would destroy you, are now simply easy steps along the journey. This is the wisdom and energy of Taurus right now. The ground is beneath your feet. Gravity supports you. You have all you need WITHIN you and around you.
And with all these retrograde planets you will now understand that this is the key to your personal magnetism. The more still we can be within, the more beautiful the dance and dreams around us become. I often compare the sign of Taurus to the Buddha archetype. Those who have taken my classes know this. We are entering this consciousness right now, where we can have true freedom from suffering because we are still enough to understand the cause of it.
Stand in your ground. Be grateful for all that you have. And enjoy the bounty of what your being creates for you. Really, take pleasure in your earthly vessel, and all that you have. Your human body is a gift. You are the "white light still and moving.."
